Jio GigaFiber's announcement by Reliance Jio set the ball rolling in the correct direction in broadband room for the disruptive telecommunications business. Reliance Jio is now entering the broadband space fiber-to - the-home (FTTH) with its Jio GigaFiber after disrupting the telecom space with its nationwide 4 G rollout, accessible plans and more.
At the 42nd Annual General Assembly (AGM) of RIL, Mukesh Ambani announced that the Jio GigaFiber rollout will begin in India on September 5 – marking the third anniversary of the company. The Jio GigaFiber plans begin at Rs 700 a month and go all the way up to Rs 10,000 a month depending on the selection of velocity consumers.
Reliance Jio, which offered free 4 G services several months before the formal rollout, is now attracting fresh customers. Jio GigaFiber subscribers will receive a free HD or 4 K LED TV free of charge as part of the "Welcome Offer" provided they choose the annual plans aka Jio-Forever.
There is no clarity as to how Reliance Jio will choose to give free HD or 4 K TV to its customers, but it appears that the 4 K resolution televisions will be reserved for the premium tier and the HD TVs will be given to those who get the basic package. The GigaFiber plans of Reliance Jio begin at Rs 700 for the 100Mbps scheme and the top-tier package will deliver speeds of 1Gbps.
With just a few more days to go for the formal rollout, it's worth noting that interested people are registering on the official JioFiber broadband page of the company. Depending on the distribution of information, the individual plans and prices will be disclosed on September 5. To get the highest advantages, keep a close watch on the offers bundled with each scheme.
Reliance Jio will also offer a free 4 K set-top-box and a free landline in addition to the LED TVs. The business is, after all, going for a mixed service and not just broadband, so it makes sense to launch the best package. There will be attractive calling plans focused on international calls, where Jio guarantees lowest fixed-line rates.
Finally, it's not just the free offers that end there. Some premium OTT services will also be available to Reliance Jio GigaFiber subscribers.
